Is Roblox banned in Russia? The 2025–26 block, outages and what to do
Roblox won't start or shows a connection error. What happened with Roblox in Russia in 2025–2026, how to tell an outage from restrictions, and what helps.
Quick fix. If Roblox won't connect but works for friends abroad, try a VPN — changing the route usually restores access. Surok has apps for Android and Windows.
Timeline. Roskomnadzor restricted Roblox on 3 December 2025. On 10 June 2026 the restrictions were lifted after the company met Russian legal requirements. On 25 September 2026 users in Russia again reported mass connection errors while Roblox's global systems were fine; changing the network route (including a VPN) helped some players, there was no official explanation, and complaints faded within days.
How to tell. Check an outage monitor and Roblox's status page; ask friends on another ISP; switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data; try a VPN.
On a computer use the VPN in TUN mode — in system-proxy mode the Roblox client bypasses it — and pick a nearby server (Poland, Germany, Estonia). On a phone fully restart the app, switch networks, then try a VPN.
Beware of "cheap Robux" resellers — the most common account-theft scheme. Parents: enable Roblox's parental controls regardless of how your child connects. More: VPN for games.
