Installation and connection
Which app should I install?
Ours: Surok for Android, Windows and Mac and browser extensions. Any compatible app such as Happ, v2RayTun or Streisand works too; the subscription is added from your account with one button.
How do I sign in to the app?
By email, via Telegram or with one tap on “Activate the app” in your account: the app opens and signs in by itself.
The app won't connect
Try another server from the list, for example “Europe · auto”. Check that the subscription is active. On Windows make sure the Surok VPN service is running: reinstalling with the installer fixes it. If that didn't help, write to support and attach a screenshot.
Does it work on mobile internet?
Yes. For carriers with whitelists there is a separate “Europe · auto” server: it works on mobile networks.
Devices and subscription
How many devices can I connect?
As many as you pay for: the plan is priced per device. The list and unlinking are in the “Devices” tab.
How do I pay?
In Russia: SBP, a Russian bank card (Mir, Visa, Mastercard via YooMoney), a YooMoney wallet, Telegram Stars or cryptocurrency. Days are added to your current subscription, no auto-renewal. Outside Russia the site and apps show a subscription in dollars payable with a card of any country, with three free days. More about payment methods.
Is there a free trial?
One day for subscribing to our Telegram channel, granted in the bot. No card needed.
Can I sign out in the app?
No. One computer or phone is tied to one account so subscriptions aren't shared around. You can change the account only by removing the app.
Which countries are available?
Nine exits: the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Spain, Switzerland, USA and Canada, plus “Europe · auto”, which picks the fastest European one itself. From Russia the entry is always via Moscow; abroad the apps connect to the exits directly. List of locations.
Does Surok work abroad?
Yes. If you're not in Russia, the apps detect it and connect to the nearest exit directly, and “Fastest server” picks it by ping. You can switch the region manually in the app settings.
What languages do the site, bot and apps speak?
Russian and English. The site picks the language from your browser, with an RU/EN switch in the header. The bot asks for the language on first launch; change it with /language. The apps follow the system language.
Friends and promo codes
How does inviting a friend work?
A day as a gift for your friend, a day for you right away and seven more when they first pay. The link is in your account and the apps. More on the page Invite a friend.
Where do I enter a promo code?
In your account, in the bot or in the app under “More”. One promo code per account.
Security
Is there an ad blocker?
Yes, on the server: ad and tracker domains from EasyList, EasyPrivacy and RU AdList, over a hundred thousand of them, are blocked inside the tunnel. Works in every app and the extension with no setup. Banners served by the site itself are left alone: only a browser blocker does that.
What do you store?
Email or Telegram, subscription term and technical device data. We keep no browsing history. Details in the privacy policy.
Does the extension protect the whole device?
No, only the browser. For the whole device you need the app.
Where do I get the browser extension?
In the official stores: the Chrome Web Store for Chrome, Yandex Browser and Edge, Firefox Add-ons for Firefox. Links are on the page “Surok in the browser”. You can buy or renew the subscription right in the extension window.
