A phone, a laptop, a tablet, a TV and a second phone "for work": an average person ends up with five devices, a family with ten. Here's how Surok counts devices, what each plan costs and what to do when an old phone has taken the new one's slot.

Quick fix. With Surok the plan equals the number of devices working at the same time: from one for 220 ₽ a month to ten for 940 ₽. If you see "device limit reached", open the cabinet, go to Devices and unlink the old one, or upgrade the plan at any moment. 3 days free, then from 220 ₽ a month.

How Surok counts devices

A Surok plan is the number of devices that can be connected at the same time. Not how many times the app was installed, but how many different devices are currently linked to the subscription.

Linking happens by a device identifier (HWID). It's sent by apps that support it: Happ, Streisand, v2RayTun and Surok's own apps for Android, Windows and macOS. When an app opens your subscription link for the first time, it sends its HWID and the device takes one slot in the plan.

The list of linked devices is in the cabinet under Devices and in the app, with an unlink button next to each one. So the old phone in the drawer can be removed on your own, without writing to support.

The browser extension and the TV count as devices too. A phone, a laptop with the extension and an Android TV is already three.

Plans by device count

Prices in rubles for 2026:

Devices Per month Per year
1 220 ₽ 2 070 ₽
2 300 ₽ —
3 380 ₽ 3 414 ₽
5 540 ₽ —
10 940 ₽ 8 118 ₽

There are intermediate terms as well: for one device 645 ₽ for 3 months and 1 170 ₽ for 6 months, for three devices 1 077 ₽ for 3 months. More on plans in how much a VPN costs in 2026.

Pay via SBP, a Russian bank card, a YooMoney wallet, Telegram Stars or crypto; outside Russia via Stripe, from $2.99 a month for one device. Details in payment methods.

Family and TV

The most popular family scenario: two phones, a laptop and a TV. That's four devices, so the 5-device plan at 540 ₽ a month. The same subscription link goes on every device, and then everyone picks their own server.

A TV is added like a phone: on Android TV via the subscription link, and Apple TV is supported too. Step by step in VPN for TV. Remember the TV takes a slot in the plan like everything else.

If you have more than ten devices, write to support: that's better sorted out individually.

What to do about "device limit reached"

The full error the app shows is: "Device limit for your plan reached. Unlink an extra device or upgrade your plan." It points to the two ways out.

Option one: unlink the extra device.

  1. Open the Surok cabinet and go to Devices. The same list is in the app.
  2. Find the device you no longer use: an old phone, a reinstalled app, a test install on a friend's laptop.
  3. Tap the unlink button.
  4. Go back to the new device and reopen the app. The slot is free, the connection goes through.

Option two: upgrade the plan. You can do it at any moment, without waiting for the current period to end. Pick the number of devices, pay the difference, and the app connects right away.

Common mistakes

  • Reinstalled the app and a new device appeared. After a reinstall the app may send a new HWID, and Surok sees it as another device while the old record stays in the list. Fix: go to Devices and unlink the record that's no longer active.
  • Installed a second app on the same phone. For example Happ and Streisand on one iPhone. Each app sends its own identifier, so for the plan that's two devices. Compare clients one at a time, unlinking the previous one. More on this in two VPNs on one phone.
  • Gave the link to a friend. Their phone took your slot. The subscription link is the key to your account, don't share it. Invite the friend through Invite a friend instead: they get days as a gift, you get days for them.
