How to get VPN for free: invite a friend to Surok and collect days

The most honest way to get a VPN for free isn't to search for "free VPN no sign-up", but to bring people who need one into a good service. Surok has an Invite a friend program for exactly that: the friend gets days as a gift, you get days for them, and nobody sells anyone's data. Here's how much you get, how it works and where the button is.

Quick fix. Open the Friends tab in the Surok cabinet or app, copy the link and send it to a friend. They get +1 day on sign-up, you get +1 day per friend and +7 days when a friend pays for the first time. Up to 5 invites a day. 3 days free, then from 220 ₽ a month.

How much you get and for what

The scheme has three numbers:

• +1 day for the friend. When they sign up with your link or enter your code, a day is added to their trial.
• +1 day for you per friend. As soon as the friend signs up, a day lands on your account. Bring five, get five days.
• +7 days for you when the friend pays for the first time. That's the main part. The friend tried it, liked it, bought a subscription, and you get a week.

An example: three friends brought, two of them paid. That's 3 days for sign-ups plus 14 for payments, 17 in total, more than half a month on the 220 ₽ plan.

Step by step: how to invite

1. Open the Surok cabinet or app and go to the Friends tab. The same page is at /friends.
2. You'll find a link and a code. The link is handier for messengers, the code is for a friend who already signed up and wants to enter it by hand.
3. Copy the link and send it to the friend in Telegram, WhatsApp or wherever.
4. The friend follows the link, lands in the Surok bot, subscribes to the channel and gets their 3 days plus your bonus day.
5. +1 day appears on your account right away. When the friend pays for the first time, +7 more arrive.

If the friend needs help with setup, send them to the guide for any device. The trial itself is covered in how to try Surok for free.

The rules: no gaming

The program plays fair, and Surok asks the same of participants:

• No more than 5 invites a day. Protection against spraying links across random chats. For a person with real friends the limit never gets in the way.
• A code is entered once per account. A friend can't enter your code, then someone else's. The first code entered is the one that counts.
• The invitee must have no prior payments. The program is for new users. If the friend has already paid Surok, the code won't count.
• Invites from the same address don't count. Two accounts from the same place aren't an invite.
• Inviting yourself doesn't work. A second account on your own code won't be counted.

If you're unsure whether a case counts, ask support rather than guess.

For bloggers and creators: promo codes

If you run a channel or a blog and recommend a VPN to your followers, Surok has a separate format: a promo code with free days for subscribers. A follower enters the code and gets extra days, and you get statistics on the code: how many people activated it and how many paid.

To get a promo code, write to support and say where you plan to publish it. A limit of 5 invites a day clearly doesn't fit a post for ten thousand people, but a code for followers does.

Why it's more honest than "free VPNs"

A "free VPN" is a business that has to make money on something, since it's not on you. The options are well known: ads, selling traffic data, reselling your connection to other users, or in the worst case malware with a pretty icon. We covered this in free VPN: what's actually free.

The economics of Invite a friend are transparent. The friend gets the full service: all servers, split tunneling, an ad blocker, a personal MTProto proxy for Telegram. Surok gets a new user it didn't have to buy ads for. You get days. Nobody sells traffic, because the service lives on subscriptions, not on you.

One honest caveat: the program won't make Surok free forever if none of your friends need a VPN. But five paying friends is more than a month of subscription. Properly marmot-scale: not mountains of gold, but an honest stash for the winter.
