Try Surok VPN for free: 3 days without a card, 7 days in the browser and bonus days for friends
Three ways to try Surok for free. 3 days in the Telegram bot with no card, 7 days in the browser extension with no sign-up, and bonus days for friends.
Searching for a "free VPN" almost always ends the same way: full-screen ads, three servers shared by everyone and speeds that turn video into a slideshow. Surok takes a different route: a paid service that first lets you try the whole thing, and only then asks about money. Here's how to get free days, what they include and what it costs afterwards.
Quick fix. Message Surok in Telegram, subscribe to the channel and get 3 days free with no card. In the browser it's even simpler: the Chrome or Firefox extension works 7 days with no sign-up. After that, from 220 ₽ a month.
Three ways to try Surok for free
Surok doesn't offer a stripped-down free plan with one server and a traffic cap. Instead there are three ways to get full-featured days:
- Telegram bot: 3 days. The fastest route. Open @surokvpnbot, subscribe to the @surokvpn channel, get three days. No card, no phone number: a Telegram account is enough.
- Browser extension: 7 days. Install the Surok extension from the Chrome Web Store or for Firefox and use it right away. No registration at all. Good if you only need a VPN for websites, not the whole phone.
- Friends: days for invites. Send a friend your link from the Friends tab. They get +1 day on sign-up, you get +1 day per friend and +7 days when a friend pays for the first time. Details in invite a friend.
How to get 3 days in the bot: step by step
- Open @surokvpnbot in Telegram and tap Start.
- The bot asks you to subscribe to the @surokvpn channel. Subscribe and come back: there's a button to verify the subscription.
- After the check, 3 days appear on your account. No cards, numbers or forms.
- Pick your device. On Android it's Surok's own app (an APK from the site, not in Google Play), on iPhone and iPad use Happ, Streisand or v2RayTun, Windows and macOS have their own apps, and on Linux FlClashX or Prizrak-Box work.
- Tap the add-subscription button. The link opens in the app by itself, nothing to copy by hand.
- Choose an exit, for example "Europe · auto", and tap Connect. Check it worked on the IP check page.
If a step doesn't add up, see the guide for any device or the FAQ.
What the trial includes
In short: the same as a paid subscription. Surok doesn't split users into "free" and "real":
- All servers. Exits in Germany, Estonia, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the US and Canada, plus the "Europe · auto" profile that picks a server itself. The list is on the locations page.
- All features. Split tunneling, an ad blocker and a personal MTProto proxy for Telegram.
- The same technology. VLESS + Reality + XHTTP with the "enter in Russia, exit in Europe" scheme. Exactly what paying users get, not a demo.
The only limit of the trial is its length. Three days, then the marmot politely reminds you it's feeding time.
What's next: prices and payment methods
If Surok has settled in after three days, the subscription costs:
- 1 device: 220 ₽ a month, 645 ₽ for 3 months, 1 170 ₽ for 6 months, 2 070 ₽ a year.
- 2 devices: 300 ₽ a month.
- 3 devices: 380 ₽ a month, 1 077 ₽ for 3 months, 3 414 ₽ a year.
- 5 devices: 540 ₽ a month.
- Up to 10 devices: 940 ₽ a month or 8 118 ₽ a year.
Pay via SBP, a Russian bank card, a YooMoney wallet, Telegram Stars or cryptocurrency. Outside Russia there's Stripe: from $2.99 a month for one device, a year from $24.99, with the same three trial days. All options are in payment methods.
One important detail: auto-renewal works only from your cabinet balance, and you can turn it off. There are no hidden card charges, so "tried three days and forgot" never turns into a surprise bill.
Honestly about free VPNs
Surok won't pretend that "free" lasts forever. Servers, traffic and support cost money, and if the user isn't paying, someone else is: an advertiser, a data buyer, or nobody at all, in which case the service dies in six months. We covered this in our look at free VPNs and in how to pick a VPN without getting burned.
Surok's model is different: free days to check the service, an honest price afterwards and days for friends. Not a "free VPN", but a VPN that isn't shy about showing itself before you pay.
FAQ
Do I need a card for the trial? No. The three days in the bot are given for subscribing to the channel, and the extension works without any sign-up. A card is only needed once you decide to pay.
Are trial days worse than paid ones? No. All servers and all features are the same as on a paid subscription.
Can I extend the free period? Yes, through friends: +1 day for each friend who signs up with your link and +7 days when a friend pays for the first time.
What happens when the days run out? The VPN stops connecting, that's all. Nothing is charged, because auto-renewal only works from the cabinet balance you top up yourself.
In short
Three ways to try for free: 3 days in the Telegram bot with no card, 7 days in the browser extension with no sign-up and days for invited friends. Inside are the same servers and features as paid. Afterwards from 220 ₽ a month, with no hidden charges.
