Happ on PC: how to download and set it up on Windows and Mac
Happ isn't only for phones. Where to download Happ for a computer, how to add a subscription, route the whole system through the VPN, and what to do if Happ on PC won't connect.
Happ is one of the most popular clients for VPN subscriptions, and it has desktop versions for Windows and macOS.
Where to download
Only from official sources: the developer's site happ.su or the project's official GitHub page. A VPN client sees all your traffic — don't grab builds from file-sharing sites or random channels.
Adding a subscription
Happ is just a client; you need a subscription from a VPN service. With Surok: copy your subscription link in your account, then in Happ tap "+" → "Paste from clipboard" and pick "Europe · auto" or a country.
System-wide VPN
- System proxy — browsers and apps that respect system proxy settings go through the VPN; no admin rights needed.
- TUN mode — captures all traffic including games and messengers; on Windows it needs admin rights. Use it if Telegram Desktop or Discord bypass the VPN.
Happ on PC won't connect
- Refresh the subscription — server addresses change.
- Turn off other VPNs and Windows proxy settings.
- Add Happ to antivirus/firewall exceptions.
- Check the system clock.
- Try another server.
Alternative
Surok has its own apps for Windows and Mac: sign in, one button, local sites go direct. See the download page.
