BlancVPN: price, plans and what to get instead
How much BlancVPN costs, what you pay for and how Surok compares on price and features. An honest comparison without a "one true VPN" pitch.
People keep reaching us with the query "BlancVPN price", so here is a straight answer: what the BlancVPN price includes, where to check current plans, and how to work out whether it beats Surok for your situation.
What BlancVPN is
BlancVPN is a commercial VPN aimed at the Russian-speaking audience: its own apps, its own censorship-circumvention protocols, monthly, half-year and yearly plans. As with most services, the monthly price drops a lot on long plans, and promotions change every few weeks. That is why we do not quote figures here: any number would be stale before this article reaches search results. Current plans are always on the service's official site.
What to compare besides the price
A monthly price on its own says nothing. Compare four things.
- How many devices the plan includes. For some it is one device, for others "up to five". With a phone, a laptop and a TV, a one-device plan costs three times more than it looks.
- Split tunnelling. Without it, local banks and government sites see a foreign address and start complaining. Surok sends Russian sites direct by default, in every app and in the extension.
- How you pay. Russian cards, SBP, crypto, Telegram Stars, a foreign card: the more options, the smaller the chance of losing your VPN when one method breaks.
- What happens when it stops working. Live support in a messenger, or an email ticket answered a day later.
What Surok costs
Here the figures can be stated, they do not depend on promotions:
| Devices | Month | Longer |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 220 ₽ | 645 ₽ for 3 months, 2070 ₽ a year |
| 3 | 380 ₽ | 1077 ₽ for 3 months, 3414 ₽ a year |
| 5 and 10 | available, for families and offices | — |
From abroad, a card subscription via Stripe starts at $2.99 a month. The first three days are free for subscribing to the channel, and the browser extension gives a whole week with no sign-up at all.
How Surok differs
- Entry only in Moscow, exits in nine countries: Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Spain, Switzerland, USA, Canada, plus the fastest European node picked automatically.
- Ads and trackers are cut on the server, no extra extensions needed.
- Works in our apps for Android, Windows and macOS, in the extension for Chrome, Yandex Browser and Firefox, and in third-party clients Happ, v2RayTun, Streisand and Hiddify with a single subscription link.
- Support in a Telegram bot, answered by a person.
How to decide
If BlancVPN has a promotion right now and you need one device for a year, work out the monthly price and compare it with 220 ₽. If you have several devices or need Russian sites to go direct, Surok will almost certainly come out cheaper and simpler. Checking costs nothing: take the free days and see how it works.
